Duration: 7 night/8 days

Day 1:

Arrive Addis Ababa at Bole International airport then drive to Awash National park via Debre zeyit area visit some of the crater lakes around Debre Zeyit then proceed to Awash National Park. Afternoon make some game drive. Overnight Awash Fall Lodge.

Day 2:

Morning drive from Awash National Park to Assayita on the road visit different villages of the kereru and Afar people. Overnight Basha Hotel. (Basic hotel or camping since it is very Hot.

Day 3:

Drive from Assayita to Afderea area on the way visit the local villages of Afar area, afternoon arrive at Afdera visit the salt lake. Overnight camping.

Day 4:

Drive from Afdera to Ertale after arranging mules to transport luggage and camping gear around the sunset start hiking to the active volcanic eruption of Erta’ale, which takes about 5 – 6 hours. Spend, the rest of the night at the rim. Overnight camping near by the rim of the Volcano.

Day 5:

Trek back to the place where you left your cars, meet the other crew at the foothill then drive to Ahmed Ela. Overnight camping at Ahmed Ela.

Day 6:

Today you will make a day excursion to Dallol, drive to one of the lowest points on earth, Dallol (116 meters below sea level) to see the wonderful and colorful formation of sulfur and phosphorus. Overnight camping at Ahmed Ela.

Day 7:

Ahmed Ela excursion to Assa Ale, Koroum Lake, Saba canyon area then back to Ahmed Ela. Overnight camping at Ahmed Ela.

Day 8:

Drive form Ahemed Ela to Mekele via Berhaile area then drive then fly to Addis Ababa ET105 16:50 arrive Addis Ababa at 18:15PM the drive to Bole Ambassador Hotel for day use then evening around 22:00 drive back to airport for the international flight.
